Day 3... A little town called Howthe

Day three was probably one of the most romantic days out of them all. Most of the days Sammy and I were together this week, we just acted like two best friends, which is great. But there was something  about this little town that inspired me. I guess you could say all of Ireland inspired me. We took a train down to this little town and sat for awhile just staring at the ocean. It was Sammy's first time to REALLY see the ocean so it felt great to capture it on camera. We at lunch in this adorable little restaurant called the Brass Monkey and had fun walking through the park, which was literally covered in adorable families, flowers, and birds. FUN!

Day 2 The Wicklow Mountains

Day two... What words can describe the true beauty I felt all around me on this day. We had a blast. We woke up around 6 am and decided that we would go on a guided tour through the Wicklow Mountains. It was one of the best decisions we made! The tickets for each of us were about 28 euros. But we definitely got our money's worth. We made our way on the bus, and our tour guide was automatically brimming with a positive attitude. His energy was great! We stopped first at the coast line and took a bit of pictures. Then our journey began through the Wicklow... Mountains, valleys, rivers, and lakes... Wicklow had them all. We went to the same exact place where "P.S. I love you" was filmed and we actually stumbled upon another movie set about vikings down in the valley. We drove through the town where part of "Leap Year" was filmed and it was just a really nice feeling, because those two movies had actually inspired me to come and pursue my dream in Ireland. How great! We stopped along the way and had spaghetti and wine at this small, earthy little pub. Sammy and I then broke away from the group and went exploring and found a beautiful little river just behind the building that was hidden behind the trees. It was a wonderful feeling to be so submerged in nature the way we were that day. Next the tour group headed toward a little place called Glendalough that was the place of a small, old cemetery and a large tower. Then we made our way through forestry and stopped a long the way to dip our feet in the water. It was so lovely to see all of the families and the children playing in the forest and the shallow waters of the lake. I felt so at peace and a beautiful aura filled the air... And I just kept thinking to myself... I am blessed.

Day 1 + Doors of Ireland

Hello everyone! So stoked to be posting Ireland pics! I know I was supposed to upload them yesterday but we had an issue with the internet. But none the less, here is Day 1!

Monday, July 23rd, 2012
Monday morning our bags were packed and we were ready to go. We first arrived at Dallas/Ft Worth airport and waited three hours for our plane flight. This was my first plane ride and I was both nervous and excited. Turned out to be not one of my favorite things, but I'd definitely do it again. (You see I'm a real big scaredy cat when it comes to heights.)

We then arrived at Chicago and I bought some small knick-knacks for souvenirs, since I haven't really EVER been out of Texas. Standing in line with boarding passes in hands, I noticed the back of two men's tshirts said "Celtic Riders" and they had pictures of castles and greenery on the shirt. I then proceeded to ask them if they rode motorcycles and low and behold they had Irish accents and were owners of a motorcycle touring company. We chatted a bit and I discovered that one of the man's next door neighbor's last name was also Taff, but spelled Taafe. In that lineage or (my) lineage they were big horse racers. One horse was so valuable to this family, that they kept his skeleton. Hmm.. I wonder if that's why I've always longed for a beautiful horse of my own?

The hotel was beautiful. It was homey and snug. We had everything we needed and we were excited to get out and explore the city. We changed and washed up after our ten hour flight and began our adventure in Dublin. We first walked around, just enjoying the cool breezy weather. I snapped lots of photos of people's homes because they are just SO different than what I'm used to. I've never seen so many beautiful flowers in one person's yard. We took a guided tour bus and made some stops along the way. We visited a beautiful park, cathedral, and some other places. (I can't remember a lot of things because I was up for 24+ hours at this point.) But after all the riding and touring, the next thing I know I'm waking up on the tour bus. We passed out! We decided to call it a day and we were heading back to the hotel as it was starting to mist and rain when a man rolled down his window and shouted "The Madonna concert's that way!" and pointed to a huge stadium. Sammy and I looked at each other and turned around towards the stadium. After a bit of asking around and bothering some locals, I scored some Madonna tickets and attended her concert for the first time in Ireland. What a great way to end our first night in Ireland! :)

Starting School...

So this outfit post is the first of many to  come of me with my hair looking like crap. Yes, I said it. You see I'm banning myself from using heat products in my hair, I really want to love and treat it right ya dig? I just feel like heat products are one of the most influential things to my hair's health right now. I've got some Biotin vitamins, but good luck trying to get me to take something every day! Do any of you have ideas or experience in healthy, long hair?

Classes start a week from today and needless to say I am very nervous/excited. I move in on Friday and officially start living there are Monday. Wish me luck! I'll need it!
